NSU and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz host Congressional High School Art Competition

Jin Kyung Kim, Cypress Bay High School student and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

NSU and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz  hosted her annual Congressional High School Art Competition reception on May 3 at the Alvin Sherman Library. The competition affords members of Congress the unique opportunity to showcase the talents of the creative and dynamic high school students in their districts. 

The winning piece from Rep. Wasserman Schultz’s district will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. for a year, along with the winning pieces from Congressional districts all over the country.  The winner will also be provided with two complimentary round-trip tickets from Southwest Airlines to attend a ceremony at the Capitol in honor of the exhibit on June 17.
