NSU CommunityFest is Just Around the Corner! Be There Feb. 12
NSU’s annual CommunityFest will be better than ever! Don’t miss out on the extravaganza designed to celebrate and connect the NSU community.
The 2011 CommunityFest will be held on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 12 – 4 p.m. along Gold Circle Lake at NSU’s main campus in Davie. All NSU students, faculty, staff, and their families are invited.
There will be more than 95 lively activity booths hosted by various NSU clubs, organizations and departments, and fun foods like popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and slushies.
Large-scale activities include:
- 36 ft. Shark Slide, and a 45 ft. Water Balloon Battle station
- Euro Bungee, and a Shark Moon Bounce House
- Paddle boats, and a 28 ft. rock climbing wall
- Caricaturists artist, Dunk Tank, and Air Brush Tattoos
- A “Kids Town” play area for our youngest Sharks
- The Marlins “Fast Pitch” station, and the Florida Panthers NHL 2011
- A photo booth to capture your CommunityFest memories
Entertainment will be provided by:
- Fushio Diako drummers, and the Flava cover band
- NSU Vocal Ensemble, and student performers

NSU’s CommunityFest was developed in 2004 by Michelle Manley, an NSU alumna who was a student at the time and wanted to bring the university community together and build school spirit.
