NSU Community Hurricane Relief Efforts
The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement has coordinated the following opportunities for members of the NSU Community to become civically engaged in hurricane relief efforts. Please contact slce@nova.edu or 954-262-7195 for more information or to find ways to help support our NSU Community and our surrounding areas.
Donations for United Way/Red Cross:
Currently the Division of Student Affairs and College of Undergraduate Studies is accepting donations for Hurricane Relief. Items can be dropped off at NSU Fort Lauderdale/Davie Campus, Rosenthal Building, Second Floor, Room 207. We are currently identifying additional drop of locations across campus and will provide an update once this has been determined. Kindly keep your donations to the following items.
All items should be new and unopened.
- Male and Female Hygiene Products
- Diapers
- Toilet Paper
- Water
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Non-Perishable Food Items
- Cleaning Products and Kits
- New Towels
- New Blankets
- Unwrapped toys
Financial Donations:
- The NSU CARES fund is established to help those students and employees who are most in need of assistance. Please consider making a donation or volunteering time to help these individuals return to a sense of normalcy, in what are quite abnormal times.
- You can also contribute by texting NSUCARES to 41444.

Civic Engagement and Volunteer Fair: October 6, 2017 from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm, Don Taft UC Spine
- Community Partners will be present to establish connections with NSU Community Members for volunteer efforts.
- Big Red Bus will be present for blood donations. (TBD)
- A Thank You Note and Note of Encouragement station will be provided for NSU Community Members to create for First Responders.
- Donations of the following items will be accepted for the United Way/Red Cross.
