NSU College of Pharmacy’s Center for Consumer Health Informatics Research hosts TEDMED Live

NSU TEDMED live Attendees

Nova Southeastern University and NSU College of Pharmacy’s Center for Consumer Health Informatics Research (CCHIR) hosted a live HD simulcast of the world-renowned TEDMED conference  on April 17 to 19 at NSU’s Health Professions Division.

TEDMED talks are unlike what you see at other medical conferences. They embrace the immersive TED format of structuring brief, but powerful (3 to 18 minute) presentations, which is part of the reason TED talks have been downloaded over 500 million times!  This year, TEDMED is providing a live simulcast of its entire lineup of innovative speakers to select hospitals and universities across the country.

The TEDMEDLive experience isn’t limited to listening to luminaries from the worlds of health and medicine. NSU participants — students, faculty and staff —  were able to actively engage with the event by sending questions to speakers and taking advantage of other interactive elements via the TEDMED Connect app.
