NSU Cares: Supporting the Victims of Hurricane Florence
The devastating effects of Hurricane Florence have become evident. Loss of life, property and a sense of community have shaken many of us. To that end, we say NSU CARES and we want to offer our help to those who are in need.
More than 500 current NSU students and 7,500 alumni call Virginia, North Carolina, or South Carolina home. An untold number of them are in need of water, food, transportation, and other basic services and supplies.
Last year, the NSU Cares Fund raised over $25,000 to help the NSU students, alumni, and employees who were most in need of assistance after the devastating hurricanes that hit Florida, Puerto Rico, and Texas. We now ask that the NSU community come together once again to help our Shark Family recover from Hurricane Florence.
If you or someone you know has been affected and is in need of assistance, please send a request to nsucares@nova.edu. All requests will remain anonymous to the public.
