NSU Baseball Team Hits a Homerun for Reading at NSU Library Storytime

Members of the NSU Baseball Team read a story to children.

The NSU Baseball Team visited the Alvin Sherman Library for Sharkey’s Storytime on Wednesday, Feb. 15 and Thursday, Feb. 16.

Baseball stars Scott Woodrey, Kellen St. Luce, Chris Van Brandt, Michael Melendez, Michael Gonzalez, Angel Navarro, Javier Sujo, Robert Baroniel and Ronnie Patella shared their favorite children’s books, including Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed by Eileen Christensen; The Seals on the Bus by Lenny Hort; and Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? by Bill Martin Jr.

The children sang, danced and read with Youth Services Librarian Meagan Albright and the baseball team. Thereafter, the baseball players answered questions and signed autographs for the children.
