Daniel Kifle receiving an award for his hard work and dedication to his aquatics department at Virginia Tech.

Daniel Kifle, the Aquatics Coordinator in the department of Campus Recreation, had the opportunity to give a presentation at the annual National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) Conference held in Nashville, Tennessee. There were  3,000 attendees from different colleges and universities across the nation. Daniel and a colleague from Virginia Tech presented on the professional and personal relationship between the full-time professional and the graduate assistant. They explained how the relationship is not established, nurtured and constructively challenged, it has the potential to jeopardize the success of a Campus Recreation program. With Daniel’s presentation, attendees learned what it takes to build a healthy and productive relationship between the professional and the graduate assistant, as well as the factors that directly affect the overall success of a Campus Recreation department.

Upon completing the presentation, Daniel received an award for his hard work and dedication to his aquatics department at Virginia Tech. Daniel was honored to represent Nova Southeastern University on a national stage and hopes that one day NSU can be recognized as one of the top NIRSA Institutions.
