NSU Alumnus Gonzalez Signs with New York Cosmos

Nova Southeastern alumnus Juan Gonzalez has signed a professional contract to play for the North America Soccer League’s New York Cosmos, as announced by the Cosmos this week.

“Juan is a versatile defender who can help solidify the depth we plan to have on our team,” head coach Giovanni Savarese said. “He’s a hard-worker that I expect will grow

well with the Cosmos.”

Gonzalez signed after performing well at the NASL combine. Gonzalez joins a prestigious club that has been the home of former superstars such as Pel? and Franz Beckenbauer. He will also play in the same league that Aly Hassan played in for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers before transferring to Bolivia’s first division.
