Nova Speaker’s Forum Hosted by Dr. Larry A. Calderon, Aug. 5
Tom West, M.B.A., NSU vice president of information technology and chief information officer, will be the featured speaker at the Nova Speaker’s Forum on Friday, August 5. He will share information about Nova’s Office of Information Technology:
- New organization;
- Top five projects and how they relate to the Blackwell report;
- Virtualization/cloud computing and how we will be using it at Nova;
- Video and how we will leverage it going forward.
West joined Nova after a distinguished career in corporate America and academia. Prior to Nova, he was with Health Choice Network in Miami, where he was chief technology officer for this leading provider of enterprise information technology services to hospitals and clinics. In other corporate roles, West served as senior vice president of Global Information Technology and Engineering for Pfizer Pharmaceutical and vice president of global information technology for Citigroup, Latin America. His experience in higher education includes his assignment as the chief information officer for Kaplan Higher Education.
The weekly Nova Speaker’s Forum, hosted by Larry A. Calderon, Ed.D., Nova vice president for community and governmental relations, takes place each Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The audience is treated to a delicious hot breakfast and an opportunity to learn about the fascinating people that make Nova a great university. The Speaker’s Forum is held on the second floor of the Horvitz Administration Building in the President’s Board Room.
