Nova Southeastern University Welcomes Delegation from Russia

Neil Katz, Ph.D., professor of Social Science and Conflict Resolution (DCAR) at NSU’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Anthony J. DeNapoli, Ed.D., executive director of NSU’s Office of International Affairs, recently hosted a delegation of  educators from Russia who visited NSU’s main campus.

The delegation was here specifically to learn best practices as it relates to NSU’s distant education programs, meet with DCAR faculty, and to attend a two-day workshop on conflict resolution. NSU is one of only two programs in the United States to offer a doctoral degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution.

The visiting delegation included:

1.    Margarita Lukyanova, Doctor of Pedagogy, docent, chairman of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Ulyanovsk institute of improvement of skills and retraining of teachers.
2.    Tatiana Rayfshnayder, candidate of Psychology, vice-director of the Federal State Scientific Institution “Research Centre for Upbringing Problems, Healthy Way of Life Formation, Drug Addiction Preventing and Children and Youth Social and Pedagogical Support,” counselor.
3.     Anna Sokolova, junior researcher of the Federal State Scientific Institution “Research Centre for Upbringing Problems, Healthy Way of Life Formation, Drug Addiction Preventing and Children and Youth Social and Pedagogical Support.”
4.     Irina Turlykova, regional manager of the Trans-regional public organization of assistance of education “Commonwealth of organizers of educational process.”
5.    Sinyagina Natalia, Doctor of Psychology, Professor, President of the Trans-regional public  organization of assistance of education “Commonwealth of organizers of educational process”, Director of the Federal State Scientific Institution “Research Centre for Upbringing Problems, Healthy Way of Life Formation, Drug Addiction Preventing and Children and Youth Social and Pedagogical Support.”
6.    Alexandra Barysheva, head of the Trans-regional public organization of assistance of education “Commonwealth of organizers of educational process.”
7.    Gennady Semikin, Doctor of Medicine, professor, head of the department of Moscow State Technical University.
8.    Galina Mysina, Candidate of Technical Sciences, docent, vice-director of the department of Moscow State Technical University.
9.    Elena Miklashevskaya, Candidate of Technical Sciences, docent, assistant provost of Moscow Power Engineering Institute.
10.    Raisa Imametdinova, Candidate of Psychology, docent of Orenburg State Pedagogical University.
11.    Margarita Legovich, teacher of Mathematics of Nizhnesortimskaya School.
12.    Galina Saveleva,  Candidate of Pedagogics, head of the Department of Art and Aesthetic Education of Federal Center of Technical Creativity of students.
13.    Elena Kalashnikova, director of the pharmacy.
14.    Ludmila Lebedeva, Doctor of Pedagogy, professor, vice rector for Scientific Work and International Cooperation of Institute of Positive Technologies and Consulting.
