About the Talk
Mormann will present an investor-oriented framework for the evaluation and design of renewable energy polices. To date, policies to encourage the deployment of renewable energy tend to be judged primarily on the face value of their monetary incentives. Empirical evidence of deployment success across the globe, however, reveals enormous differences in policy performance that don’t always correlate with the respective policies’ remuneration levels. These trends point to other forces at play, rather than policy remuneration and generation cost alone.

Hosted by the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Math, Science, and Technology, the Climate-Sustainability Lecture Series aims to increase the understanding of the science, technology, and policies relating to climate change and sustainable development. Experts in related fields from within NSU and other institutions are featured speakers.
