New-Student Scholarship Recipients Gather for Celebratory Reception

Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences welcomes students to a reception for merit-scholarship recipients on Aug. 30.

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences hosted a reception on Aug. 30 to recognize new undergraduate students who received merit scholarships upon their enrollment at Nova Southeastern University. Several members of university and college administration were on hand to celebrate the students’ accomplishments.

Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, welcomed recipients to the event and recognized those in attendance. Rosenblum then introduced George Hanbury II, Ph.D., president of NSU, who also congratulated the students.

Students receiving the following scholarships were recognized: Chancellor’s Scholarship, NSU Trustee Florida Academic Scholarship, Nova Southeastern University Honor Award, Honors Program Scholarships, Dual Admission Scholarships, and the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.

During the reception, students mingled with their peers and spoke with college administrators, who provided guidance and advice on how to retain the scholarships as they pursue their undergraduate degrees.

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences offers a variety of merit- and need-based scholarships and grants for undergraduate students throughout each academic year.
