New Tradition Makes NSU History
April 27 marked the first ever “All in for NSU” campaign. The campaign was led by NSU’s Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations and the goal was to make NSU history for the most donations raised in just over one day (1,964 minutes). The campaign ended at 5:00pm EST on April 28th and surpassed the goal with over $12,000 raised by 187 donors!
NSU alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and students from all over the country participated in the campaign. Special events such as the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education giving contest vs. the College of Psychology and Alumni Appreciation Night helped to bring NSU Sharks together for this great cause. Supporters were also able to donate conveniently by texting “NSU” to 41444, which is NSU’s newly launched mobile giving platform. One employee- Jason Lyons, of the Office of Advancement at NSU, even offered to SHAVE HIS HEAD if NSU reached $10,000! Thanks to you, that goal was met and Jason had to keep his promise.
