New Issue of Farquhar Forum Magazine Now Available
The 2014–2015 issue of Farquhar Forum, the award-winning magazine from the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, is now available online.
The cover story spotlights 2014 Student of the Year and Honors student Desiree Kennedy, who secured a job at the U.S.. Department of the Interior—an opportunity made possible by an academic internship in Washington, D.C. Desiree exemplifies our many undergraduate students who connect their college experience to the world at large by participating in internships and independent study research projects. This issue of the magazine highlights such learning experiences for a number of our students and recent graduates in various disciplines.
The Forum’s latest issue also explores the hands-on research of faculty member Amy Hirons and her students, who investigated the disappearance of the endangered Hawaiian monk seal. Also included in the magazine is a profile of college alumnus, donor, and software development entrepreneur Dan Madden, who is currently working toward a Ph.D.—which will be his third degree earned at NSU.

Farquhar Forum is produced by the college’s Office of Information Services and NSU’s Office of Publications.
