Neuroscience Camp 2016

The NSU College of Psychology, Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is excited to offer a two-week (9 am – 12:30 pm) discovery-based Behavioral Neuroscience training program for high school juniors and seniors. The camp will take place from July 24 – Aug 4, 2017 on NSU’s Fort Lauderdale/ Davie campus. Students will participate in workshops with NSU faculty that will feature demonstrations and discussions on topics such as stress and cognition, computational neuroscience, cognition, and synaptic learning.
The program is designed to assist students with the transition from high school to college, advance their skills in research, problem‐solving, and critical thinking, and better prepare them to enter competitive pre-professional programs. Associate Professor Jaime Tartar, Ph.D., and Assistant Professor James Munoz, Ph.D., are sponsors of this program.
