NATIONALS BOUND: Women’s Cross Country Qualifies for NCAA National Championship
The Nova Southeastern women’s cross country team has qualified for the NCAA National Championship after placing third at the NCAA South Regional Championship Saturday.
This is the first National Championship berth for the women’s team. It is the culmination of a long term rebuilding project for the squad that started two seasons ago, when head coach Bryan Hagopian brought in almost half of Saturday’s runners as freshmen. The championship race will be held in Joplin, Mo. on Nov. 17.
“The women’s team ran great, I could not have been more pleased with their effort,” said Hagopian. “This women’s team has been in development since I’ve been here. We have never had an elite women’s side at NSU and the program is now running on all cylinders.” Click here to read the complete release.
