Become a Musical Ambassador for NSU—Auditions for NSU Vocal Ensemble, Apr. 16

The NSU Vocal Ensemble, one of many performance ensembles housed within the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts, currently seeks talented singers, actors, dancers, pianists, musicians, and sound technicians to represent NSU at upcoming events.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, Apr. 16 from 12 – 3 p.m. in the Performance Theatre of the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center. Callbacks will take place on Apr. 25 from 8 – 10 p.m. in the Performing and Visual Arts Wing, room 310.

The repertoire for the NSU Vocal Ensemble is unique and diverse, with genres ranging from jazz and blues to pop and rock. Performances throughout the season may include NSU’s Student Life Achievement Awards (STUEYS), the college’s annual holiday concert, Commencement celebrations at several of NSU’s SEC locations, NSU’s Homecoming, CommunityFest, and other events. The NSU Vocal Ensemble has performed at South Florida sporting events for the Panthers hockey team and Marlins baseball team, and, in recent years, has toured throughout the state and country.

Ready to audition? Be sure to bring your song, monologue, dance number, and/or resume. Auditions are open to all NSU students. Tuition scholarships are available to qualified students participating in the ensemble.

For more information about the NSU Vocal Ensemble, contact faculty adviser Bill Adams, D.M.A., assistant professor in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, at 954-262-8025.
