View the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale’s exhibition Wari: Pre-Inca Lords of Peru and enjoy a day of activities for the whole family including interactive family performance by Wayna Music from the Andes at 1pm and Bolivia Mágica Ballet Folklórico at 12:30pm and 2:30pm, Docent Tours, Film Series, face painting and story time.

Bolivia Mágica Ballet Folklórico

Become inspired with an energetic performance by Bolivia Mágica Ballet Folklórico, a non-profit organization founded in 1992.  Currently under the direction of Maria E. Velázquez this creative team works to preserve and diffuse the spirit of Bolivia and the rich cultural heritage of the Andean Region through dance, music and folklore.

TIME: 12:30pm & 2:30pm

Wayna Music from the Andes

Wayna is the Quechua word for “youth”. Andean music group Wayna consists of young family musicians playing under the direction of Paco Moreno. Wayna’s repertoire recreates traditional and contemporary sounds and melodies from the highlands of Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. In their presentations Wayna uses a wide variety of Andean traditional string, wind, and percussion instruments.
