Will the New Minimum Wage Hike Make a Difference?

Albert Williams, Ph.D., assistant professor of economics at NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, was interviewed on Wednesday, June 1 for a segment on CBS 4-Miami about Florida’s new minimum wage hike, and what its actual impact will be for Floridians. The minimum wage in Florida had been set at $7.25, but as of June 1, 2011, the new minimum wage is $7.31/hour.
