Miami Wind Symphony Honors NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler School of Education Senior Director, Licensure, and Professor Victor Lopez, Ed.D.
The Miami Wind Symphony honored NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler School of Education Senior Director, Licensure, and Professor Victor Lopez, Ed.D., with a Lifetime Achievement Award on Friday, March 7 at a concert held in the Wertheim Auditorium at Florida International University. Lopez, a former senior level administrator with Miami-Dade County Public Schools and principal at Miami High School, has been a life-long musician. As a former member of the Miami Sound Machine, band director, and a trumpet player, Lopez has made significant contributions to music education within the public school context and has been a vocal proponent of sponsorship for the arts through music.
