Men’s Soccer Shuts out Carson-Newman, 1-0

The Nova Southeastern men’s soccer team (2-0-0) shutout the Carson-Newman Eagles (0-2-0), 1-0, on Saturday, Sept. 1, at the NSU Soccer Complex. It was the second shutout for NSU in as many games.

The NSU defense put forth another great effort, holding the Eagles to only two shots-on-goal. Andrea Giombetti (So., Rome, Italy) had his second clean sheet in two games, with a save in each half. The NSU defense has been flawless while starting four freshman in the backfield in the first two games: Mattia Marzetti (Rome, Italy), Nicola Brivio (Gallarte, Italy), Karl Enarsson (Gothenburg, Sweden) and Matthias Bruno (Rome, Italy).
