Men’s Golf Announces Addition of Marino to Staff

Former UNF golfer is the program's newest assistant coach

Former UNF golfer is the program’s newest assistant coach

Nova Southeastern University men’s golf coach Ryan Jamison is proud to announce the addition of assistant coach Joey Marino to his staff.

Marino, a four-year letter winner in men’s golf at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, will begin his coaching duties immediately, assisting in player development, recruiting, on-course instruction and administrative duties.

“We are very excited to welcome Joey Marino to our men’s golf program,” said Jamison. “His passion and experience within the golfing world will be a tremendous asset to our program. We are very excited at the opportunity this year and I know Joey looks forward to adding to the tradition here at NSU.”

“I am very excited about the opportunity to be a part of the NSU golf program,” added Marino. “Ryan and the team have been very successful over the past few years and it will be a great learning experience for me.”

Marino is a native of Weston, Florida, and attended North Broward Prep. He golfed at UNF from 2008-13, including an appearance in the NCAA Regional Tournament in 2011 that saw him card the team’s lowest final round score. Following his playing career, he held a position on the UNF women’s coaching staff before moving into development.

For over two years, he had various roles in that department, including most recently as the Assistant Director of Athletic Development. Among his many responsibilities were assisting with the Associate Athletic Director of Development in managing the UNF Osprey Club; working with donors and prospective donors; and directing events for the program.

Marino received his undergraduate degree in sport management from UNF, and is currently pursuing his master of education in athletic administration.
