rp_primary_Grande_Oaks_Country_Club_w_Golf_Team_2_4_2011 047The Nova Southeastern men’s golf team and head coach Ryan Jamison are pleased to announce their first two newcomers for the fall 2015 season in incoming freshmen Juan Jose Guerra and Daniel Whelan.

Guerra, from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, golfed at Central Florida Prep, while Whelan hails from Coral Springs, Florida, and Pivot Charter School. Guerra is ranked No. 333 by the NJGS with three top-five finishes and two top-10 showings, while Whelan is No. 299, having picked up a win along with the same overall line of three top fives and two top 10’s.

“We are very excited to announce the signing of Juan Jose Guerra and Daniel Whelan,” said Jamison. “Both of these kids are tremendous young men and I look for them to continue the history of success here at NSU.

“Both of these young men have had great junior careers and have competed and fared very well in national and world competitions. Juan Jose has had the history of playing for his country in various world events while Daniel has competed regularly on the AJGA, the nation’s top junior amateur tour.”

The duo will join seven returnees from this year’s roster, currently preparing for the upcoming NCAA South/Southeast Super Regional, May 4-6 in Dade City.
