Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Named CSCAA Scholar All-America
The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were named College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America teams Tuesday, July 7.
The women’s team finished with an overall 3.07 GPA, while the men’s 3.01 GPA placed them in the top 35 in Division II.
“Our student-athletes have performed equally in the classroom and in the pool.,” said head coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron. “Their commitment to academics is a tribute to their overall work ethic. I am proud of our team for keeping up with their studies while managing a difficult schedule throughout the season.”
The Team Scholar All American Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and again in the spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 in the semester coinciding with the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CCCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
