Become a Member of NSU’s Branch of the AAUW!
In celebration of the 130th Anniversary of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), you are invited to become a member or renew your membership. Nova Southeastern University is currently among the 500 college/university partners in the online directory. Take advantage of the research, campus outreach programs and the many benefits offered to students, faculty and staff, including numerous funding opportunities.
NSU branch activities for 2010-2011 academic year included:
• Annual International Women’s Day Dinner and Silent Auction
• Mentoring of at-risk youth from the Broward PACE center for girls
• Participating in the South Florida Diversity Alliance Diversity Summit
• Salary negotiation workshops
• Anti-bullying workshops
• Brown Bag Lunch discussion of Maternity/Paternity Leave at NSU
• Awarding one student with the NSU-AAUW Undergraduate Student Symposium Award
• Awarding two students with the NSU-AAUW award to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders
Membership Opportunities are available in the following areas:
• Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Student Affiliation is open to anyone who does not already hold an undergraduate degree and are enrolled in a two-or four-year regionally accredited educational institution. NSU students enrolled will receive a free e-Student affiliation.
