Medical Students Win State Osteopathic Awards

NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine student Erin McClary; Jeffrey Grove, D.O., FOMA president and a 1990 NSU-COM alumnus; and NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine student Carisa Lippmann.

During the 109th Annual Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) Convention recently held at the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure in Weston, several students from NSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine were honored with various awards.

Winners of the FOMA Student Awards, which are presented each year to two NSU-COM students, were second-year students Carisa Lippmann and Erin McClary, who each received a $500 cash award. The FOMA Student Awards are based on criteria such as possessing leadership skills, supporting FOMA student district society initiatives, and showcasing significant interest in the osteopathic profession and osteopathic manipulative medicine.
