Medical Student Wins Award for Excellence in Research
Alex Pappas
Third-year NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM) student Alex Pappas recently received the Medical Student Award as a part of the Ophthalmology Section’s Rabb Venable Excellence in Research Program. Pappas was honored for his research project entitled, “Success of Intraocular Pressure Control in Glaucoma Patients Undergoing Canaloplasty with and without Cataract Extraction in a Single Center Setting.”
Pappas presented his research at the National Medical Association’s Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
