Medical School Associate Dean Receives Achievement Award
Howard Neer, D.O., FACOFP, professor and associate dean of alumni affairs at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, was the recipient of the FOMA Presidential Achievement Award. Neer was recognized during the 109th Annual Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) Convention held Feb. 23 to 26 in Weston.
A stalwart FOMA member for 50 years, Neer was personally selected by the association’s president, Jeffrey Grove, D.O., to receive this prestigious honor.
“Dr. Neer has long been one of the American Osteopathic Association’s iconic physicians,” Grove said. “This past year, however, the Florida osteopathic family needed him to assume a new role. As our new Florida delegation chair, Dr. Neer has provided the association with continued ability to focus and move forward.”
