Medical School Alumnus Receives Prestigious Award
Michael MacDonald, D.O., M.P.H., M.B.A., FAOCOPM, a 1990 graduate of NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a board-certified and residency-trained occupational medicine physician in Melbourne Florida, was named the United States Naval Reserve Flight Surgeon of the Year for 2012. He currently serves as a captain in the Navy Reserves and as a flight surgeon for VP-62—a Navy P-3 Orion squadron based at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida, whose squadron mission is maritime patrol.
