Medical Pediatric Club Takes Home High Honors for Poster
The Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine’s (COM) Pediatric Club won the Pediatric Club Poster of the Year award from the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians over all of the other club submissions in the profession. They submitted a remarkable poster that detailed all of the activities they have accomplished this past year. COM continues to be proud to be associated with such a dedicated and professional group of students that well deserved this national recognition.
COM’s program director for the Palms West pediatric residency, Randi Sperling, D.O., FAAP, FACOP won the Pediatrician of the Year award from the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. Sperling has had such a remarkable impact on the students and residents at Palms West Hospital that her accomplishments in that role deserve this recognition. But the award noted that Sperling has gone well beyond her role as a pediatric educator, she continues to participate in community service projects that benefit children in need of health care services and has published several important articles on pediatric medical issues.
