Med Student Named Student D.O. of the Year

Elizabeth Phung

Third-year NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM) student Elizabeth Phung was recently selected from a competitive group of applicants to receive the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM) Student D.O. of the Year Award from her peers. She joins an exceptional group of previous winners who have gone on to become respected leaders in the medical field.

As this year’s NSU-COM selectee, Phung is automatically entered into the national Student D.O. of the Year Award competition, which is presented annually by the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP)—a council of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM). This esteemed award acknowledges students’ commitment to their school, community, and the osteopathic profession. The national award winner will be announced at the AACOM Annual Meeting in April 2012.
