M.B.A. Alumnus Named Management Instructor at VCU, Completes Certificate Program
Otis Jarvis, an M.B.A. graduate from the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, was recently appointed to be an adjunct instructor of management at Virginia Commonwealth University’s (VCU) School of Business. He teaches courses in strategic management and organizational behavior.
Additionally, in May 2011, Otis was awarded a graduate certificate acknowledging his completion of VCU’s Future Faculty Program (FFP). The FFP program is designed specifically for those interested in entering the academic arena. To be eligible for the certificate, students must successfully complete the nine credit hours of program coursework and submit an electronic portfolio for evaluation. Also, the FFP’s program includes a capstone internship that must be completed under the tutelage of a faculty mentor.
Otis received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management (Dean’s List) from Averett University in Danville, Virginia. Otis also holds state certifications in Real Estate Valuation, Real Estate Brokerage and Real Estate Instruction.
