March is National Athletic Training Month – Attend presentation, “A Safer Approach to Work Life and Sport”

The NSU Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) will host Larry Starr, Ph.D., in honor of National Athletic Training Month. He will be speaking on this year’s NATA Month theme, “A Safer Approach to Work, Life, and Sport,” which is open to NSU students, faculty, alumni and preceptors.

Starr is a National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Hall of Fame Member (2011) and previously served as sports medicine director NSU Athletics Department and an adjunct faculty member at NSU. He is a member of the Carrollton (OH) High School Alumni Hall of Fame (2012) the Tennis Fantasy with the Legends Hall of Fame (2006), the Florida Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame (2005), and the Ohio Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame (1994). Most recently, he was inducted into the NSU Athletics Hall of Fame (2015).
