Make-A-Wish Reveal at NSU Baseball, March 18

Make A Wish Game Ad

Join us this Saturday, March 18 at 11am as NSU’s Department of Athletics, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and the Make-A-Wish Foundation team up to grant a wish to a child in our local community. The Wish Reveal Party is scheduled for 11:00am at the NSU Baseball Complex prior to the doubleheader baseball game between No. 1 NSU and No. 7 Tampa. Admission is free with a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. There will also be a tailgate party, games, and photo opportunities with Razor the Shark and the championship trophy.

The NCAA Division II SAAC established the Make-A-Wish partnership in 2003 and has since become one of the foundation’s largest and most consistent contributors. Since then, the division has raised more than $4.7 million for Make-A-Wish. The funds have granted more than 590 wishes for children around the country who face life-threatening medical conditions.

During the 2015-16 campaign, Division II raised more than $608,000 for Make-A-Wish, marking the fifth consecutive year the division set a fundraising record. Additionally, only five schools raised above the national average cost of a wish reveal — $9,500 — and automatically earned a wish reveal party. NSU’s student-athletes raised over $10,000.
