The International Institute for Franchise Education (IIFE) in the H. Wayne Huizenga School hosted Bo Burlingham, editor-at-large of Inc. Magazine, for its fourth annual Executive Summit on Apr. 22.

All participants received an autographed copy of Burlingham’s latest book, Small Giants: Companies That Choose to Be Great Instead of Big  Burlingham talked about concentrating on developing and maintaining the company’s “mojo” rather than focusing on growth. He kept the group engaged as he told stories of having and being a mentor, learning from his mistakes, and always having a Plan B.

Summit attendees came from franchise systems throughout the United States. The program also included a four-hour workshop on strategic improvisation led by Barry Barnes, Ph.D., chair and professor of leadership in the Huizenga School.
