Local Musicians to Compete in Annual Ars Flores “Young Artists” Competition at NSU, Feb. 9

Witness musical stars in the making. The Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, will host its annual concert of talented young musicians competing for a spot in a future Ars Flores performance.

Annual Young-Artists Concerto Competition Finals | Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra

Saturday, Feb. 9
4:00–8:00 p.m.
Performing and Visual Arts Wing, Room 309 | Don Taft University Center

Part of the college’s Resident Series, this competition showcases two divisions of young, gifted musicians. Division I includes secondary-level musicians from grades 9 to 12, while Division II includes musicians at the college, university, or conservatory level, up to the age of 25.

The students will perform solos, with a panel of judges determining the best in show. The winners of this year’s competition will earn the prestigious opportunity to perform with the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra in a special concert at NSU on Saturday, Apr. 20.

All tickets for the Young-Artists Concerto Competition Finals are $10 and available at the door. For more information, visit www.arsflores.com.
