Local Jazz Lovers Flock to Library Concert Series, Ends July 28

Nearly 100 South Florida jazz fans helped kick off the Alvin Sherman Library’s 2013 Summer Jazz Series June 30 in the intimate, art-filled, newly renovated Cotilla Gallery. The free one-hour concert featured Chicago vocalist Terry Sullivan, accompanied by local masters Frank Carmelitano on guitar and Don Coffman on bass.

The series continues with every-other-Sunday concerts, all beginning at 2 p.m. July 14’s concert features local guitar wiz (and NSU guitar teacher) Devin Arne and his trio, and the series wraps up July 28th with fusion-jazz group the Inner Court. All are free and open to the public.
