Lifelong Learning Institute Celebrates 35 Years with Fall 2010 Welcome Week

The Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI), part of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences at NSU, will open its 35th year with its fall 2010 Welcome Week of events from Sept. 27–30.

The program invites older adults to participate in the college’s intellectually stimulating environment as members of the LLI. These members benefit from workshops, interactive discussions, lectures, and field trips. They learn from renowned NSU faculty members, motivational peer leaders, and prominent visiting experts in fields such as humanities, sciences, health, and government.

The LLI’s Welcome Week is free and open to the community. Each day, from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., includes a free light breakfast, two classes, classroom introduction to the program, and Q&A sessions. Class topics for Fall 2010 Welcome Week include international legal issues, art, film, music, books, and philosophy. View the LLI Welcome Week flier for a complete list of events.

The Lifelong Learning Institute is located in the University Park Plaza at 3424 South University Drive in Davie, west of NSU’s main campus. For more information about LLI programs and membership, or for directions, visit www.fcas.nova.edu/LLI or call (954) 262-8471.
