Leo Goodwin, Sr. Hall undergoes Renovation
A major renovation project is underway at the Leo Goodwin, Sr. Hall, the home of NSU’s Shepard Broad College of Law. Building entrances to the atrium, the atrium itself and the Panza Maurer Law Library are under construction and are closed until further notice.
Once the work is completed throughout the building, law students and guests will have access to eight more study rooms in the law library as well as new floors, carpeting, furniture, paint and a totally revamped atrium. A new seminar room which will accommodate up to 28 people is being added on the third floor. In addition, windows in the north and south vestibules are being replaced with impact-rated windows.
Services for Shepard Broad College of Law students also will be streamlined in an area off the atrium which will include student services, admissions, career development and financial aid.
While construction is underway, students can reach faculty, admissions, career and professional development, financial aid, international programs and student services through the northwest classroom hallway near the Law Clinic. Visitors may access the office of administration, dean’s office, marketing/communications, IT and alumni/development via the south walkway emergency exit on the east of the south atrium entrance. To request access, call 954-262-6123.
During construction, law students studying for summer classes or the Florida Bar exam can go to the following places:
- Classroom 3
- Lecture 2
- Faculty Study
- Courtroom 1
- Any lecture room or classroom that does not have a class scheduled at the time
- DeSantis Building – room 3048
- Alvin Sherman Library
