Lecture | Wari and Inca Collection from the Museum of America in Madrid

Ana Zabía, Curator of Museum of America in Madrid, will discuss a selection of art and objects from the collection. The Museum is one of the leading ethnological Museums of Europe.  Currently, Ms. Zabía has been assigned to the General Consulate of Spain in Miami, to coordinate the events of the Commemoration of Florida-Spain 500 years.  She graduated in Art History at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and holds a Master Degree in Works of Art Course from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. She has previously worked in the Guggenheim Museum of New York, in the Yale University Art Gallery, in the Wadsworth Ateneum Museum of Art of Hartford, Connecticut and other European and Spanish Museums, like the Museo de Artes Decorativas of Madrid and El Greco Museum of Toledo. In 2006, she was the first Spaniard ever to be awarded with the Bellevue internship Program of the Robert Bosch Stiftung from Germany, for young executives in the highest government authorities from European Countries. She joined both the Institut für Museumforschung and the Ethnologisches Museum of Berlin, Germany.
