“Roman Vishniac: Beyond the Camera, A Human Experience”
Among the 16,000 photographs this American-Russian born Roman Vishniac captured, his most memorable are of those impoverished and persecuted Eastern Europeans. Many of his photographs were taken of people and children of Jewish decent. His work was featured in the movie,” Schindler’s List” Due to his keen sense of observation and humanity, we have a record of historical proportions given to us through his lens.
Mary Cavaioli is currently the Arts Integration Specialist for the District of Palm Beach County Schools, K-12 Curriculum where she creates professional development programs and models best practices for teachers. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and has a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts Leadership. She has written curriculum guides for the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale as well as serving on the Museum Education Advisory Board. She teaches on Artful Sunday’s at the Boca Museum of Art and for the Boca Summer Art Camp.
$10 per person, including museum admission; Free for museum members. Seating is limited.
