Lecture | Living with Cobra: An Intimate View
Thursday, January 30, 2014
6:00 pm
Between 1978 and 1998, Meyer and Golda Marks donated more than 1300 works of post-World War II European avant-garde art to NSU’s Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale. The Marks family has been among the foremost collectors of Cobra art in the Americas. In the lecture “Living with Cobra: An Intimate View,” Linda Nathan Marks and Stephen Marks, the children of Dr. and Mrs. Marks, will share memories of their parents’ lives as collectors: their artistic sensibilities and the sources of their passion for Cobra. The talk will include a visual presentation of their parents’ home, which was renovated with an eye toward showcasing their art.
