Lecture and Book Signing with Poet Richard Blanco

Saturday, April 27, 6:00 p.m.

Join us as we welcome Richard Blanco, as he reads from a selection of his poems and participates in a Q & A session.  Blanco was selected to write and read the inaugural poem for President Obama’s second swearing-in on January 21, 2013. He is the first immigrant, Latino, and openly gay poet chosen to read at an inauguration and at 44, also the youngest.

This event will be followed by a book signing. Books & Books at the Museum will have a selection of his titles available for purchase.

This is a ticketed event. One free ticket with purchase of Richard Blanco’s Book Looking for the Gulf Motel ($15.95) or $10.00 each (without book purchase).  To purchase book or tickets contact 954-262-0255 or Museumstore@moafl.org.
