Learn About Supersymmetry in the Next Mathematics Colloquium Series, Nov. 17
As part of the Mathematics Colloquium Series, Diego Castano, Ph.D., associate professor in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, will present “A Very Brief Introduction to Supersymmetry” on Nov. 17, from 12 – 1 p.m., in the Mailman-Hollywood Building, room 311.
Modern physics seeks to identify the universe’s full complement of symmetries. Among these is the hypothesized symmetry between particles of differing spin, or so-called supersymmetry. In this lecture, Castano will present some of the mathematics behind these ideas.
