Boudreau Named February’s Student Leader of the Month

Lauren Boudreau

NSU rower Lauren Boudreau has been named the Student Leader of the Month by the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement.

The student athlete, who is biology major, is also the acting President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, which serves as a voice for student athletes. The organization’s involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation includes hosting SAAC sponsored sporting events as well as continuous fundraising throughout the academic year. NSU SAAC’s future initiatives involve community service work with the Davie Police Athletic League (PAL) program, Tomorrow’s Rainbow organization and Habitat for Humanity.

As an athlete on the NSU rowing team, Boudreau helped the Sharks capture its fifth SSC Championship, winning the varsity eight. Boudreau helped capture the silver medal in the varsity eight at the Dad Vail Regatta and rowed the varsity eight to a third-place finish at NCAA Championships.
