Key Club Hosts Annual Conference at NSU
The Florida District of Key Club International hosted its annual Spring Zone Rally for all high school Key Clubs in Broward County on Saturday Feb. 7, 2015 on NSU’s campus in Davie. Approximately 600 Broward County students, faculty advisors, and Kiwanis members packed the Health Professions Division for the event.
After opening session, student leaders conducted break-out sessions, teaching leadership skills, ways to improve their clubs, and presenting ideas on how to grow their memberships. The group held its annual elections for candidates running for high offices in the organization. Various high schools received awards for outstanding service during the closing ceremonies.
Joshua Braverman, NSU nursing student and president of the newly chartered CKI community service organization at NSU, shared information on the college-level Key Club program at NSU and other Florida universities.
The Kiwanis and Key Club organizations are so grateful for the generosity demonstrated by NSU for the use of its beautiful and ever growing facilities, not only for this event, but also for the KCKC (Key Club Kickoff Convention) at the beginning of each school year. NSU is truly a community partner!
