Joubert and Jerothe Earn PBC Athletes of the Week
Laruschka Joubert (Fr., Krugersdorp, South Africa) and Ryan Jerothe (Jr., New Port Richey, Fla.) were each named Peach Belt Conference Field Athletes of the Week for their performance at the Miami Hurricanes Invitational.
Jourbert, in only her second collegiate outdoor event, won the javelin throw with a NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 41.3-meters. The freshman beat nine other competitors in the event, eight from Division I schools, and set PBC and NSU school records in the process. She also placed ninth in the discus and 10th in the shot put.
