Join Published Author Debbie Reed Fischer for a Writing Workshop, Feb. 10
Did you know most books written for a younger audience are read by adults? Are you a fan of YA books? Do you have an exciting idea for a story? Join us for a writing workshop to jumpstart your novel! Come prepared to learn and create in a workshop led by a published author and member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
This event will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and it’s free and open to the public.
Join Debbie Reed Fischer, published author and member of Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators for an interactive workshop on the character/dialogue connection. In other words, mean what you say and say what you mean. Enjoy Debbie’s dialogue do’s and don’ts, tips and fun exercises. Debbie Reed Fischer is the award-winning author of novels for teens and tweens, and has been praised by Kirkus Reviews for balancing “weighty issues with a sharp wit.” Her middle-grade novel, THIS IS NOT THE ABBY SHOW (Random House/Delacorte), was just released. A graduate of the University of Miami, Debbie worked for many years as an agent for film and TV, then as a middle and high school teacher.
