Join Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra for Patriotic Salute Concert, Nov. 10

On the heels of the U.S. presidential election, the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra invites you to a special concert in celebration of the stars and stripes.

This Resident Series concert will feature guest conductors Maria Perez-Rudisill and Chris Cicconi and showcase a variety of American compositions. Scheduled selections include the “Star Spangled Banner,” Bernstein’s “Overture to Candide,” Bagley’s “National Emblem March,” the “Hymn to the Fallen,” the “1812 Overture,” and many more.

Prior to the evening’s performance, Ars Flores will offer Music for Munchkins: a free, 30-minute mini-concert geared toward children and their families.

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences partners with Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra to further connect campus and community creative resources. NSU’s orchestra in residence is a unique professional orchestra with professional, conservatory, college, and gifted high school students performing side by side. Ars Flores gives students a rare opportunity to rehearse and perform with talented, professional musicians, all of whom hold at least one degree in music.
