Get Involved, Make Friends During Weeks of Welcome, continuing thru Sept. 4
The 2012–2013 academic year has officially started and the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences is hosting a variety of events for undergraduate students during NSU’s Weeks of Welcome (WOW). These events, which began on Aug. 27, are free, and all are welcome to attend.

Meet and interact with faculty and classmates from your academic division in a social setting. Members from each division will gather at the following locations:

Stop by and learn how OAS supports your success at NSU. Tutors and staff members will be on hand to provide tours and answer questions about the office’s services and resources. Lunch will be served.
Weeks of Welcome culminate with Convocation, which celebrates the official start of the academic year.

Arena at the Don Taft University Center
This year’s ceremony will feature a keynote presentation by acclaimed writer Jamaica Kincaid. Kincaid’s novel Annie John served as the 2012 selection for the college’s First-Year Reading Program.
